Product Description

The Burndy MY29-11 dieless Hytool manual crimping tool is made with a forged steel body and has a reinforced back and handles for strength, and is suitable for use with a range of stranded copper conductor and connector combinations. Its adjustable nest and indentor combination eliminates the need for interchangeable dies, and its connections are Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certified when used with listed Burndy Hylug terminals and Hylink splices. This crimper can be bench mounted with the Burndy BMY-BCH-MT bench mount adapter (not included). It is suitable for in-shop or field repairs and installations that use stranded copper Navy conductors from 30 to 250 circular mils (kcmil) and stranded copper flexible mine machine cable from American Wire Gauge (AWG) #8 to 4/0.

Crimpers, also called crimping tools, pinch wire terminals and connectors to wires to prepare them for use in electrical or communications applications. They have nests and indenters that vary in size and shape according to application. Manual crimpers are suitable for portable applications that create small terminal connections while power crimpers use air, electricity, hydraulic power, or a combination of these to aid compression, and are used in high volume applications. Crimpers can be used for applications ranging from manual field repairs to fully automated terminal production operations.
