Product Description

The Burndy Y46 remote hydraulic crimp head provides 15 tons of crimping force, and is suitable for use with a range of copper and aluminum terminals, splices, and taps in conjunction with a 10,000 psi hydraulic pump. Its dies (not included) can be securely held in place with this tool’s positive die lock buttons. The forged steel, C-shaped head on this crimper simplifies placement and removal from continuous conductor lengths, and a 3/16″ rubber cover protects the tool from impact damage. This crimper provides Underwriters Laboratories (UL)-listed and Canadian Standards Association (CSA)-certified connections when used in conjunction with Burndy Hylug and Hylink splices. It is suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications where an appropriate hydraulic pump is present.

Crimpers, also called crimping tools, pinch wire terminals and connectors to wires to prepare them for use in electrical or communications applications.
