About Ron Fleming

Ron Fleming grew up in New England and has called several northeastern states home over the years, including a period living in Germany. A U.S. Army veteran with a background spanning education, writing, and technology, Ron draws on this diversity of experience in his professional life.

Ron's professional journey has been one of evolution. For years, he worked as a copywriter, content developer, and content strategist, supporting enterprise-level ecommerce operations at companies like Amazon.com and Grainger. During this time, he discovered a passion for building tools—VBA macros, automated workflows, and data integrations—that made content teams more efficient. What started as side projects to solve real problems gradually became his primary focus.

That technical curiosity led Ron to make a deliberate career transition. He completed Tech Elevator's intensive Java development bootcamp and pivoted to full-time software development. Today, he works as a Senior Software Developer at biBerk Business Insurance, where he builds full-stack solutions using C#, .NET Core, Angular, and related technologies.

Ron's background in content strategy gives him a unique perspective in software development. He understands both the technical requirements of building software and the user experience considerations that make applications intuitive and effective. His years of writing and editing have also made him a strong technical communicator and documentation advocate.

When he's not coding, Ron maintains his German language skills (B1 certified) and continues to explore new technologies and development practices.
